General Fight Rules
-Fights without a distinguished winner will be mediated by an unbiased third party (likely a staff member), this is to ensure that the fight does not take too long, and to ensure that fighting is done in accordance with semi-realistic boundaries and limitations.
-Editing posts once they have been sent may disqualify you. If it is to correct a coding, name, gender, or any other trivial error; please ask a staff member to give the ok, and make a note of their name in the 'reason for edit' option.
-Make sure that the fighting is kept IC only! We appreciate things may get tense and heated, but this should not reflect any relationships outside of writing!
-A character is able to attempt an escape at any point during the fight, a mediator or staff member will then give verdict on whether this attempt was successful or not.
-A character may submit at any point. Bare in mind that to submit is to forfeit as well as accept any damage intended upon your character.
Fighting Types
Spar
Training sessions to the novice wolf. This enables them to hone in their skills and learn new moves. These do not usually cause damage to either party with the exception of bruising and mild lacerations.
Dominance
Hostile interactions with another character. Dominance challenges are unpredictable and occur when tensions between two characters are at an all time high, often causing major injuries. The absolute maximum number of characters involved in a dominance fight at any one time is 3 against 1, or 5 against 2.
Maim
These challenges usually occur when a character wishes to permanently injure another, they are strictly 1 on 1, and often result in extreme damage. The maim your character wishes to inflict must be stated in the thread title (i.e Kholat vs Blizzard for removal of right front paw). The victor may execute their maim once the victory is official, or they may opt to spare the loser.
Acceptable Maims: Blinding (one or both eyes), Removal of Limbs (tail, leg, ear, tongue), Castration (does not include full removal of genitalia), Major Scarring (anywhere on the body).
Rank
When a character wished to rise in power. Only held within packs and only two characters may participate. If the Alpha deems the challenge unnecessary, they may intervene at any point. The lose is sent to the bottom of the pack ranking system.
Pack
When a character wishes to fight for control over land. Takes place between two characters, the winner gains control of the pack and its land.
Death
When a character wishes to take the life of another. Only two characters are permitted due to the severity. The winner may choose to either carry out their execution, or spare the other's life. Characters must have had at least 2 interactions prior to challenging for death.
War
Takes place between two rival packs. The initiating Alpha must gather their ranks and lead them to the land of the enemy. Threats are made along the borders with the Alpha howling to wage war. Those wishing to participate have 3 days to post in the thread, and will then be assigned random numbers and paired by a staff member to a random wolf to fight. Pairs will then create a new thread with the prefix [War] to go through with their fight. The winning pack is the one who wins the most paired fights, and will eliminate the rule of the losing pack over their territory. The winning Alpha will then have the right to put a member of their own in charge of the new land. If no character is put into leadership; the land will go up for claim.
